PAST FUTURE
JOE WYNNE BRANCH 51, Edson, Alberta

SERVICE: Weds, November 11, 2020 at 10:50 AM

This year our Remembrance Day Service will be outside at the

Cenotaph. There will be no parade and all wreaths will be pre-laid
Wednesday morning.

An area will be cordoned off for Veterans and their families, the

Legion Colour party and those directly involved in the service. We
ask members of the public to remain outside this area until after the

ceremony has concluded and all Veterans and Legion party have
departed.

For those who decide to honour our veterans from home, the

service will be live streamed to our face book page:

https://www.facebook.com/EdsonRoyalCanadianLegion.51

We request anyone attending the service to wear a mask and

maintain social distancing.

We have all had to make many adjustments throughout this year
due to Covid-19 and we thank you for your understanding during

this event.

On behalf of Joe Wynne Branch No. 51, I would like to extend a huge “Thank You” to all the businesses
and community members that supported the 2020 Poppy Fund Campaign.
Many people ask about the Poppy Campaign and how the money raised is used. The primary use of the
Poppy Fund is to support those veterans, serving members of the military and RCMP and their families
that need extra help. Things such as loss of work, an illness or an injury, loss of employment or a change
in the family dynamics can leave them with unexpected expenses. We have helped veterans on a limited
income with medical expenses for prescriptions not covered by medical insurance, completed
improvements to their homes to help with mobility, transportation to medical appointments and medical
equipment that improves their way of life.
We also provide bursaries for secondary education to children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
of Veterans and we proudly sponsor the 874 Edson Tiger Moth Air Cadet Squadron's training.
... AND SO MUCH MORE!
The Joe Wynne Branch No. 51 will continue to support our veterans and surrounding community with
your help.

Yours in Service,
Wendy Williams
