OBITUARY
Cory Allan Kjemtrup
September 27, 1957 – October 23, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the passing of our dear
brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and
friend. Cory Allan Kjemtrup
passed away quietly at his home
on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the
age of 63 years.
Cory was extremely involved with the Kinsmen's Club
in a provincial capacity, serving as Governor Director
for many years. A great sports enthusiast, Cory
especially enjoyed golf, baseball and basketball and
spent many hours on the phone with his family and
friends. A kind and gentle man who radiated joy when
surrounded by kids will be dearly missed. For several
years Cory battled his illness and is now at rest.
Cory will be lovingly remembered by his brothers,
Michael (Melody) Kjemtrup and John (Maryanne)
Kjemtrup; God-daughters, Carmen and Carla Event Reminder
Tocheniuk, numerous extended family throughout
Canada, Denmark and the U.S.A., as well as many
wonderful friends. Cory is predeceased by his May 9: For mental health week, join
parents, Ivan (2007) and Elizabeth (2003) and the Town of Edson for Darkness to
nephew, Benjamin (2020).
Cory's life was celebrated at Affinity Funeral Service, Light – Mental Health Awareness. Join
4105 41 Avenue, Whitecourt, Alberta on Saturday, the community and place luminaries or
October 31, 2020 with Dwayne Henley officiating. For a simple candle outside your home to

Robert Thomas Rideout
August 6th, 1941 – October 29th, 2020
Robert (Bob) Thomas Rideout loving husband,
father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to
many.
The family of Robert Thomas Rideout is deeply
saddened to announce his passing October
29th, 2020 at the young age of 79 years.
Bob is survived by his wife Eve of 56 loving
years. His sons Bryan (Dallas), Howard (Joanne),
and daughter Coleen (Brad) residing in Edson
and son Glenn (Anita) at Sylvan Lake. He also
leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Bob's siblings sister Betty (Doug) Strickland residing in Milltown, NL brother
Joe (Linda) Hermitage, NL sister Marilyn (Greg) Rimell Edson, Alberta
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Howard and George of
NL and his Mother and Father in law, Ed and Alberta Petty of Edson
Bob was born and raised on Pass Island, NL on August 6, 1941 to Fred and
Violet Rideout. After a year of teaching, Bob decided to join the Armed Forces
1960 where he served as a gunner for the Canadian Army until 1963. Bob
then came to Edson Alberta where he met and married Eve Petty on
December 12, 1964.
Bob was so full of life and adventure, he made many precious memories
with family and friends. When Bob walked into a room he brought a bright light
and tremendous joy to everyone with his quick jokes and quick laugh. Bob
had a way of making everyone feel they were long lost friends, he enjoyed
everyone's company any time any day and anywhere.
Our family would like to thank all friends, family and caregivers who helped
him through the last couple of years.
The family would like to have a celebration of life for Bob in the upcoming
year.
May Bob's memory be a blessing to all of us.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bob's name.
