George James Campbell Congrave, 84, of
Littleton, Colorado passed away on October
20, 2020. George was born on August 20,
1936 in Edmonton, Alberta to his thrilled and
very proud parents, George and Rachel
Congrave.
As a child George discovered his love of
sports especially hockey, baseball and basketball. At age 12 his
father was transferred to Edson, but three years later his father was
tragically killed in a work accident. George, his mother and sister

graduating from Westglen High School, George was drafted by the
Detroit Red Wings but chose to pursue his education in Chemical
Engineering at Denver University with a full hocky scholarship. But
