A&W's Burgers to Beat MS raises over $3,000 in Edson

by Deanna Mitchener

Restaurants across Canada participated in
another year of fundraising for (MS) Multiple
Sclerosis. On August 24, the local A&Ws in
Edson and Niton were also a part of this
fundraising effort.
The Edson A&W had another fantastic year
raising $3,065.99 in total, which included 1003
teen and double teen burgers sold. $2 from each
purchase of a teen or double teen burger goes to
the MS Society of Canada to support people
living with multiple sclerosis.
Free root beer was available to those who
attended the Show N' Shine that also is a
tradition at the Edson restaurant each year during
this event. The generous patience of customers was very appreciated in the busy lineups during the Burgers to Beat

comes to helping others and supporting local
fundraising events and for Burgers to Beat MS
the community was out in full force to help
support it.
The lineups inside the restaurant and the drive-
thru were busy throughout the day. With the
main focus to raise enough funds to create a
world free of MS, with continued support of the
community each year, the MS Society of Canada
moves a little closer to that goal.
Stacie Eldstrom has always enjoyed going that
extra mile to ensure those coming down not only
have a great burger to eat, but have lots of other
things to enjoy such as all the local automobiles,
draws, good music, games, and so much more.
This year was harder than usual with very limited
staff to work for the event, leaving her inside to
help with all the orders.
Special thanks goes out to everyone that came
down to support the event and for their
understanding if lineups were a bit long. Also a
special thanks to the amazing individuals who It was a nice evening to be sitting outside enjoying burgers at A&W while seeing the amazing autos
